Albania's UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Albania has several UNESCO inscriptions spanning ancient archaeology, Ottoman urban heritage and a natural lake shared with North Macedonia. Together they frame the country's long, layered history.

Butrint is a national park of Greek, Roman and Byzantine ruins in a forested peninsula. Berat and Gjirokaster are inscribed together as historic centres of Ottoman architecture. Lake Ohrid is one of Europe's oldest and deepest lakes. Each is a cornerstone of a serious Albania itinerary.
